We're looking for a talented front-end developer to join our team in the center of Amsterdam. We hope to find someone with excellent technological skills but who also can work on the design or the implementation of design.

Maximonster Interactive Things is a brand new company founded by Michiel Klønhammer (ex CEO ICATT) who has joined forces with Marc Worrell (ex owner and lead architect at Mediamatic and developer of AnyMeta and Zotonic). At Maximonster we have started building a large scale social-media-like application called KLAS.NL. KLAS.NL will be an important tool for children, parents and teachers helping them communicate and learn.

We're using open source stuff like Erlang, Zotonic, Django, JQuery, Open Social and are developing a lot of new open source technology as we go. The application will have to deal with extreme performance issues and needs to offer an incredibly good user experience. And we want it to look good too!
We're looking for a talented front-end developer to join our team in the center of Amsterdam. We hope to find someone with excellent technological skills but who also can work on the design or the implementation of design. And on top of that we want you to love what you do and have fun doing it!

We're starting off with a small team so we're looking for someone who will help out with anything that needs to be done (some graphic design, interface design, testing, drinking espresso etc)

You need to have experience with things like:

•HMTL / W3C / JavaScript
•jQuery
•Ajax, dynamic generation of HTML
•Comet/websockets
•HMTL5 / semantics of HTML5
•CSS3 (when to use it and when not to use it)
•Django or another templating language
•Design (at least you love good design)
You need to:

•be able to use new technology in a pragmatic way
•have at least 3 years of experience.
We're looking for someone that wants to work at least 4 days a week for half a year, either under contract or with a freelance contract.
